The new CSC version (v2.10) checks for excessive forces measured on top of the force actuators. While that's great and shall happen, it triggers a fault when bump tests are running.
The problem is that as -222N is put on X actuator, there is only -230N as the allowed value. And obviously, if that value is being crossed, the mirror fault. That's is great, as it confirms the safety mechanism works, but on the other hand is bad, as we cannot run the bump tests.
There are multiple ways to fix that:
ignore measured limits when the mirror is parked - neighbor and other checks shall be enough
ignore measured limits for FA being tested
adust curve we use for FA force, so we don't overshoot
adjust calibration inside ILC so we don't overshoot (probably too hard, if possible)
The attached image depicts the fault. As soon as FA measured force drop below -230N, the CSC faults the mirror. Measured loads record forces as the mirror fault to static supports.
